Above: Ed Grune's wonderful award-winning model which took Gold at IPMS Fort Worth Supercon in 2001
Rammed and sunk by Japanese destroyer Amigiri in Blackett Strait on 2nd August 1943. This model represents PT-109 at the time of her sinking. Armament consisted of: 4 x 21” Mk 8 torpedoes, 2 x Twin 0.5” m.g.s, 20mm Mk 4 Oerlikon, 2 x Mark 6 depth charges, 37mm M3
